Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects large number of pediatric patients between 2 and 17 years age. Typical symptoms include intense itching, erythema, scaling the skin. has been found to be associated with decreased quality life for their families. Diagnosis made by clinical evaluation differential diagnosis other dermatologic diseases. Treatment based on severity age patient. Topical treatments are first line treatment, while systemic reserved severe atopic who do not respond topical treatments. In addition, treatments, such as light therapy, biological therapy allergen-specific immunotherapy, have evaluated in dermatitis. A multidisciplinary approach appropriate patient family education critical successful management patients.
